Feast of the sun god

Blood
Your blood
With every pulse
Gushing through my fingers
Cascading down the temple steps
Flowing to join severed head below
Voraciously I tear out your beating heart
Hold the gleaming organ aloft as crowds roar
Acolytes roll your mutilated corpse off the altar stone
The mighty sun god shall feast upon your soul tonight

Bathed in your warm blood
I tear out your beating heart
Glory to sun god

  1. Beautiful and terrifying at the same time – to have captured Inca / Aztec sacrifices so powerfully.
