Leaving Ellis Island, heading out into the bay.  Nice to see the construction machines are working for once.  Infra-red and x-ray sweep indicate no signs of humans nearby.


When was the last time you saw one?


201308220415.  My probe found one scurrying around E32ST.


You processed it of course?


Hell yeah; zapped that little fucker and flagged it for recycling.


Can’t believe any are still alive in these smouldering ruins.


They are adaptable, and they breed.


Wait, what’ s that?  One of them just appeared on the dock; has a frikkin’ RPG…

  1. That works with the picture although I laughed a bit at first, not because of your story, but because of the incongruity of “Amidst the Smouldering Ruins” right below your happy skydiving picture. I was hoping that didn’t happen when you landed! 🙂
