While I was drunk

Booze races joyful through intricate web of my veins
Car glides roaring round the corner with grace of swan
Wake up on trolley bed
Cool breeze through oxygen mask whistles into lungs

In other words: don’t drink and drive. Message received, loud and clear.

Some don’t wake up at all. Drunk driving makes me mad because it doesn’t have to happen. (People I know have been killed by drunk drivers.)
