The fall of Yr

The mighty sorcerers of Baa were ever vainglorious, ensorcelled by a desire to harness the elements, and they built a slew of mighty towers in the mountains of Karom Ghar, that they might touch the heavens.

Each sorcerer sought opportunities to debilitate the other, for they would share control with no-one.  Their distrust of their fellows made them fractious and prone to prodigious displays of power, wantonly unleashing their magiks in the manner of a whore releasing her breasts from her décolletage.

The greatest of these magi, Hullos Tarek of the Tower of Yr, saw a chance to rid himself of all his adversaries.  Wind whipped his robes as he canted words ancient and terrible.  The sun was eclipsed, turning the sky blood red; the other sorcerers watched in awe as their edifices shook underfoot.

Watched as, with a deafening roar the earth opened its maw, and swallowed Yr whole.
