Far from home

Holding hands on the beach

“It’s so peaceful here” said Jemima, staring out across the sandy beach as the sea foam rolled gently across her feet and back out again, listening to the cries of seagulls circling overhead as a gentle breeze caressed her face.

She sighed, looked at her brother and took his hand.Β  “Are we going to be able to return home without that machine?”

“Yes, but not right now”Β  Jerimiah replied as he turned to his little sister.

“First, we need to find Edward Wickes and tell him what happened to his father.”
